Priaire Rose Western Days is an annual festival with this year's theme of the Chisholm Trail. For only $3, we will provide entertainment and history with Friday's Kids' Day emphasizing educationfro 5-13 year olds. Gates will also be open to the general public both Friday & Saturday. A $3 KIDS MEAL is offered on Friday. Concessions are also available at the Happy Trails Cafe both days

Saturday evening there will be a dinner and dance featuring Rusty Rierson and the Forever Young Band. Tickets are $40. Reservations are required.

Saturday May 6th, First Street, from Main to Chisholm, will turn into our Chisholm Trail Event Arena complete with Chisholm Trail Alley with a Stagecoach Station. Catch your pancakes and eat them, too from 8-10am with a fun, Chris Cakes event. At 9am, grab some kolache awesomeness at the Kolache Kitchen and hit the Arts & Craft bazaar for first dibs on the good stuff. From 10am-6pm, the event arena will have stagecoach rides, pony rides, mechanical bull, calf roping machine, blacksmith, bow & arrow obstacle race, Old West picture prop booth, longhorns for viewing, Czech beer garden  with horseshoes, Cow Chip Throw and more! Come to the big TeePee Chamber booth for buttons, tickets, t-shirts, maps, event schedules, and more! We’ll have entertainment on the stages plus button drawing prizes all day long. We also have custom made Chisholm Trail mugs, beer steins, and utensil/candle holders by Isaac Shue Pottery AND Eshelman’s Old Time Ice Cream!

Fourth Annual Golf Tournament Set for Saturday, May 20th, 2017
Ark City Chamber will host their Fourth Annual Golf Tournament Saturday, May 20th at Great Life Golf and Fitness located at 8731 US Hwy 166 of Arkansas City.  The 18-hole, Four-person scramble tournament is a major fundraiser for the Ark City Chamber of Commerce.  Payout is flighted with a first, second and third place winner with cash prizes.  Select holes and lots of side games will be available for the chance to win a car, cash and other prizes from the local businesses.  The Chamber’s Events Committee is proud to announce that 7Clans Casino is again the Platinum Sponsor and that RCB Bank as a Gold Sponsor will be providing the lunch.  Gold Sponsorships are still available.  The public is welcome to sign-up as a team under the sponsorship of a Chamber Business Member. Entry deadline to insure a cart will be May 16th and a last minute registration (no cart) will be on Friday, May 19th until 6pm at Great Life Golf & Fitness.  To register as a team or be a sponsor call the Chamber at 620-442-0230.
